Many BRLI Alumni continue their involvement with the program after graduation by volunteering on the BRLI Steering Committee and/or one of the Organizing Subcommittees. Participating on the Steering Committee and/or one of the Subcommittees is a fun way for BRLI Alumni to stay engaged with fellow alumni, further their networking in the region and shape the future of the region’s premier leadership development program.
If you are a BRLI Alumni and compelled to stay involved, we would love to hear from you.

Subcommittee Volunteer Opportunities
By becoming a volunteer for Bangor Region Leadership Institute (BRLI), you can help shape the future of the program and reconnect with your fellow alumni, if you have gone throught the program. It is also a great networking opportunity.
BRLI Alumni Subcommittee
The BRLI Alumni Association ensures that the BRLI experience extends beyond the program for its participants. Throughout the year, the Alumni Association plans Leadership lunches and socials, raises funds through an Annual Appeal to BRLI alumni, and leads the recruitment efforts for new participants.
Meeting Schedule: Once a month or as needed
BRLI Laugh-In Subcommittee Committee
This committee is charged with planning BRLI’s premiere fundraising event – the Laugh-In. Proceeds from this event help the program offset its costs and provide a quality program to our participants. Responsibilities include securing comedians and selling tickets and ads. Many volunteers cannot commit to the meetings but help out by selling tickets and ads and touching base as needed.
Meeting schedule: 1-2 times per month October through February
BRLI Curriculum Committee
The curriculum committee creates the curriculum and secures presenters and activities for the class year. Responsibilities include attending planning meetings and contacting potential presenters and site visit locations.
Meeting schedule: 1-2 times per month April through August
