Glenn Mower, a graduate of the BRLI class of 2005, is the winner of this year’s G. Clifton Eames Leadership Award. The award is given annually at BRLI’s graduation and alumni dinner. It recognizes a graduate that uses their leadership skills to benefit the community, has strong community involvement and service, serves as an example of leadership for others, and remains committed to the BRLI program.
Glenn was selected due to his exemplary community service and volunteerism, as well as his advocacy for BRLI. His volunteer positions, past and present, include roles with the Wellness Council of Maine, Bangor Breakfast Kiwanis Club, the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, and the Steering Committee for the Bangor Region Leadership Institute.
Emma Creaser, BRLI class of 2001, presented the award to Glenn, saying “He is someone ingrained in the community. Someone who is well connected but very humble in everything he does. Someone who is reflective of the leadership qualities of Clif Eames himself.”
Glenn accepted the award among a group of 80 BRLI alumni, who gave him a standing ovation. Congratulations, Glenn, you are more than deserving of this award!
