Volunteer Leadership

BRLI Mission Statement:

To enhance creativity and vitality in the Bangor region communities by accentuating participants’ quality leadership skills, heightening awareness of the intersection of the for-profit, nonprofit and government sectors, and providing continued leadership development and opportunities to our alumni.

BRLI is overseen by a volunteer Steering Committee consisting of alumni. The Steering Committee works with BRLI’s Program Coordinator to drive the mission forward, maintain its finances, plan events, and develop the curriculum. Steering Committee members serve three year terms.

In addition, the program has active subcommittees that work to carry out different projects, initiatives and events. The subcommittees include Curriculum, Alumni, Marketing, and Development Committees. To get involved in any of these groups, please email
