Kristen Card, Chair

As a native of Wells, Maine, Kristen earned her undergraduate degree in English, with a minor in Political Philosophy, from Bowdoin College. She spent most of her professional career in Higher Education working in Residence Life and Graduate Admissions at Lesley University, Newbury College, and Hebrew College in Boston, MA.

In 2010, Kristen returned to Maine to take on a new professional role as the Director of Graduate Admissions and School of Pharmacy Admissions at Husson University. In her role as Director of Graduate Admissions, she has worked to develop and implement successful marketing and recruitment strategies, has represented Husson at numerous admissions events and conferences, and has strived to establish partnerships with corporations, organizations and other universities, in order to create opportunities for professionals who are interested in pursuing graduate studies and advanced professional programs throughout the State of Maine.

Kristen has been a member of the National Associations of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP) for over a decade, and is also a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s Student Conduct Committee. Since relocating to Maine during the fall of 2010, Kristen has completed her Master of Business Administration Degree from Daniel Webster College and is a BRLI graduate of the Class of 2013.

Outside of Husson, she has been an active member of BRLI’s Curriculum and Alumni Committees. She is an avid hiker and enjoys weekends spent exploring Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor Area.
