Benjamin Smith is a lifelong resident of the Bangor region with a strong passion for community, connection, and helping make Eastern Maine a great place to live and work. A proud graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute’s Class of 2015, Ben has remained actively involved with BRLI and currently serves on its Steering Committee.
Professionally, Ben is the Director of HR & Marketing for FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Eastern Maine, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience across healthcare, senior living, business development, and marketing.
Outside of work, Ben stays actively engaged in the community through organizations including as the Vice President and Social Media guy for the Rotary Club of Bangor, service on the fundraising & development committee at Eastern Area Agency on Aging, volunteering as a bird transporter for Avian Haven and a member of Black Bear BNI. He especially enjoys bringing people and organizations together, supporting local initiatives, and finding new ways to strengthen the communities he has always called home.
