A native of Old Town, Maine, Michelle holds an associate degree in Business Administration from Beal University and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Crisis and Emergency Management at Purdue University. As an active member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success at Purdue, she exemplifies her commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
Michelle’s professional journey began in the Higher Education and Aviation sectors, where she honed her skills in data analytics, information processing, quality control, and database management. In 2020, she transitioned to healthcare, working in both the Emergency Department and Brain Injury units of a local hospital while attending Nursing School.
Currently, Michelle leads the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign for Penobscot County, with aspirations to expand her impact to a statewide role. Her true passion lies in the Fire Service and Community Risk Reduction, a calling she discovered while volunteering as a firefighter with the Bradley Fire Department. She now serves as the Fire & EMS Support Specialist with the Orono Fire Department.
Additionally, Michelle is honored to serve her first term on the Steering Committee for the Bangor Region Leadership Institute, contributing to the development of future leaders in her community.
Outside of her professional commitments, Michelle enjoys photography, fishing, and quality time with her young son, Harrison. Together, they embrace adventure on weekends with the Cub Scouts, where Michelle proudly serves as the Lion Scout Den Mother, fostering a love for the outdoors and teamwork in her son and his peers.
