Travis Estes

Travis was born and raised in Hermon, while spending two and a half years in Nashville, TN upon graduation from the University of Maine at Orono in 2011 with his Bachelor’s degree in Business.  In Tennessee, his first full time profession was in office equipment sales and learned how to “start over” in a new place after being in the same town all his life in Maine.  He believes that it is important to see what else is out there, but don’t forget your roots.  Since returning in 2013, he has worked at Dennis Paper and Food Service for the past 8 years in purchasing, where he climbed the ladder to Director of Purchasing in 6 short years, and is now currently the Lead Buyer.

Also upon returning to Maine, he returned to his passion of coaching local youth for 5 years at Orono High School as the JV and Varsity Boys assistant coach.  He also started an AAU basketball club that ran for 4 years with up to 120 players involved.  He has a side business undercoating vehicle frames in his spare time and enjoys golfing, coaching, and outdoor recreation.

He is an alumni of the Class of 2020.  He is quoted as saying “BRLI helped me make local connections and network with others my age that I probably wouldn’t have been able to cultivate on my own.  It also gave me great insight to what leadership really is and what it looks like in action.”
